Lobster Rolls & Whoopie Pies - Package of 6

Can't make it to Maine? This is the perfect pairing to remind you of a walk to the wharf.

Our Lobster Rolls feature fresh lobster salad made from claw and knuckle meat - the sweetest a lobster has to offer. Nana always said to let the lobster speak for itself, so we only add a touch of mayo and a dash of salt & pepper. Simply butter and brown both sides of each New England Split-Top Roll before serving.

Finish off this Maine inspired meal with individual whoopie pies: New England's favorite tried-and-true treat. It looks like a cookie, but don't be fooled. Creamy vanilla filling sandwiched between fudgy chocolate cake rounds makes for a decadent dessert that is anything but ordinary.

For best quality, since the lobster salad is fresh, we recommend consuming your lobster salad within 2-3 days after receipt.

You Will Receive:
Lobster Salad (1 lb., fresh)
6 Split-Top Rolls (frozen)

Good

As this was my third order and loved the first two, this last order I felt it was a little less fresh. Still good just not as fresh tasting as the first two.

Hancock Gourmet Lobster did a great job of creating a delicious package of Maine Sesfood and ensuring that the package arrived in Tennessee by Chtistmas - too easy.

disappointed with Whoopie pies
Posted by Frank Casazza  |  Nov 18, 2017
I tried to order only two whoopie pies to try, but my request was refused. I had to buy six, and we each tried one but threw out the rest. They were a big flop in our estimation.

A Consistently Delicious NE Treat
Posted by Travelers2  |  Dec 16, 2016
I have this item shipped to family who live in California wine country. Lobster rolls, potato chips, and a favorite wine out on the deck, it doesn't get better than that. Add in the whoopie pies, and one has the perfect New England treat. The lobster is cooked up just right, the rolls are fresh and cut/sliced the right way, and the whoopie pies are some of the best. I live on the coast in Downeast Maine where the lobsters come right off my neighbor's boat and into my pot, and my wife makes whoopie pies from scratch. What Hancock Gourmet provides is just as delicious, even with the 3400 additional miles. For me, Hancock Gourmet's customer service has been exceptionally good, the packaging excellent (& UPS always delivers on time), and the product absolutely delicious. As an indication of how good this is, we reorder year after year. It's an annual event because Hancock Gourmet has consistently met and exceeded our expectations.

Just about as good as it gets!
Posted by Lobster Lover  |  Dec 24, 2013
My husband and I vacation in Maine every summer and we've had our (very fortunate) share of great lobster rolls. But we can't get anything close to that on the West Coast--you can't even get the split-top buns here. We've purchased whole lobsters and made our own lobster rolls at home, and they're pretty good, but after having purchased the lobster roll/whoopie pie kit, we won't bother making our own anymore. These are EXCELLENT! Maybe ever so slightly not as fresh as you can get in Maine from freshly caught lobster, but still very, very good. We overstuff our rolls and the kit only yielded 4 rolls (plus about half of a 5th roll). Doesn't matter--this was two great meals for us and a snack for me. My husband isn't into sweets but he loved the whoopie pies--in fact, these are better than the ones I've had in Maine. We'll be ordering these again and again!

A New Christmas Tradition
Posted by Robert Johnson  |  Dec 16, 2010
I sent the lobster roll/whoopi pie combo to a friend for Christmas. He and his family had it for an early Christmas dinner, and apparently they were so blown away that they vowed to do it every year hence. He called me that night and raved on and on about how amazing the rolls were, and they forgot to try the pies!

5 Stars from Los Angeles!
Posted by Susan  |  Sep 7, 2010
5 Stars From Los Angeles!!!! We had a Seafood Extravaganza last week with my father-in-law and some friends. Everyone was impressed by the freshness of the lobster meat and the butter-toasted rolls were to die for!!! Oh yes, the Whoopie Pies were a hit as well. We added fresh rasberries between the cake and it was heavenly. Yummy..... My 88 yr. old father-in-law remembered lobster rolls from when he was stationed in the NorthEast before being sent overseas during WWII . He was ecstatic and started eating one before I could get them to the table!!!!!! Needless to say, we will be having another Extravaganza soon featuring your lobster rolls!!!!!

Top Quality!
Posted by Tim  |  Oct 7, 2008
My wife and I used to live in Boston, and the lobster in Iowa just doesn't even compare. These lobster rolls were top quality and a perfect birthday gift for my wife. She couldn't wait to actually make a lobster roll, and started eating the delicious lobster straight out of the container.

A Huge Success
Posted by Jack Rosberg  |  Aug 25, 2006
I just wanted to let you know that I ordered your lobster roll/whoopie pie combo as a gift for my parents' anniversary in July and it was a huge success. They both agreed that it was a perfect present, as it didn't require any cooking or getting dressed up to enjoy it, and they both raved about how wonderful everything tasted. Thank you!!"

Our Maine vacation plans didn't work out this year. I hoped that ordering this would be a consolation to my husband. Was it ever! We are going to be ordering again soon! If you can't make it to Maine and you love lobster rolls (and whoopie pies), this is the next best thing to being there! Thanks!"

Just as I remembered
Posted by Jack Rosberg  |  Aug 25, 2006
We just finished our Lobster Roll and Whoopie Pie order. It couldn't have arrived in better condition. The lobster salad is so well made, we decided it isn't worth it to make our own. We'll just order from you in the future. And the whoopie pies were so good I spent 2 hours on the floor exercising because I ate 2! I haven't had one in 30 years. Thank you so much for the quality of our order. Ellen ******"
