I thought the gift would at least have a card- or, a note stating who it was from. The person who received the gift said the ramikan was more of a gift than the lobster potpie- said it was more like a soup than a pot pie. But anyways- all good- just thought the price and value did not meet expectations.

    A HIT AND A MISS

The puff pastry and flavorful sauce were buttery and delicious. Unfortunately, the lobster portion of the dish, though plentiful, was strongly and distastefully fishy. Some of the pieces were tough, rubbery.. several pieces were difficult to chew and had to be discarded. Not at all what I expected.. especially after experiencing such sweet and tender pieces in the Lobster Mac n Cheese dish. I won't be purchasing the pot pies again.

Not as happy as I expected to be..

I read through the reviews and based on the many 5 Star reviews, decided to purchase the Lobster Pot Pies while they were on a 15% discounted sale. The puff pastry and mascarpone cheese filling were TO DIE FOR, but the lobster, while abundant, was rubbery, hard to chew and VERY fishy tasting. I guess I was expecting some lump lobster, not ALL claw pieces. I hope the lobster in the lobster mac & cheese is not as fishy, because I bought it, too. One comment I must make: I'm glad I live alone and had no one to see me trying to eat every morsel of the puff pastry off of the side of the ramekins.. Yes, that part of the pot pie WAS that good!
