Hancock Gourmet Lobster Co. has won several gold awards at the International Fancy Food Show. These awards are considered the "Oscars" of the specialty food industry. Our Gold Award Sampler includes four gold award winners: Smoked Scallop Lobster Bisque, Lobster Risotto on the Half Shell, Lobster Mac & Cheese, and Lobster Pot Pies.

Lobster Risotto on the Half Shell

Preparation Instructions: Pre-heat oven to 375°. Remove shells from freezer. Remove plastic wrap and wax board and place shells on baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes or until bubbly.


Serving Suggestions: Serve as an appetizer or as a meal with steak for an entree.

Smoked Scallop Lobster Bisque
Preparation Instructions: Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw in refrigerator for several hours or overnight. Pour contents from package into saucepan or double-boiler and warm on medium heat until hot, stirring often. Do not boil. Microwave: Pour contents from package into a microwave-safe dish. Stir and loosely cover. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes or until hot; do not allow it to boil. Stir well before serving.

Lobster Pot Pies

Preparation Instructions: Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw in refrigerator overnight or for several hours. Preheat oven to 425°. Bake on sheet pan for 15 minutes or until pastry has begun to puff. Reduce heat to 350° and continue baking for another 5-8 minutes until pastry is golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 3-5 minutes before serving.


Serving Suggestions: Serve as an appetizer or entrée with salad made of fresh greens and grapefruit and avocado slices. Best with a crisp white wine or champagne.

Pemaquid Point, with its dramatic streaks of granite reaching to the sea, is one of the most visited spots in Maine, to the delight of artists, photographers and tourists. Preparation Instructions: Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw in refrigerator overnight or for several hours. (Alternate thawing method: Remove plastic wrap. Microwave on defrost setting for 5 minutes.) Pre-heat oven to 350°. Remove plastic wrap and place on baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.

Port Clyde, Maine is a classic Maine fishing village devoted chiefly to lobstering. Near its wharves, Port Clyde boasts a general store, shops, art galleries and restaurants. It is also where one can catch the daily ferry to Monhegan Island. In the 1800s Port Clyde was known for canning seafood and you can still buy sardines with the Port Clyde label.

Everything was amazing with the exception of the Smoked Scallop Lobster Bisque. That was pretty lackluster
