Heat broiler. Rinse scallops and pat dry. Pour a quarter cup butter into broiler platter or pan. Add scallops, turn to coat. Combine bread crumbs and seasonings, sprinkle over scallops. Drizzle with 1 Tbsp. butter. Brown scallops under broiler 5 to 7 minutes. Turn off broiler and let scallops heat 3 minutes longer. Sprinkle with a few drops of sherry. Serve hot garnished with lemon slices. Serves 4.
