Our favorite product, these are made with big, tasty chunks of lobster claw and knuckle meat, just a touch of mayo and light seasoning. Just as important is the New England split-top roll, which can be grilled to complete this Maine delicacy. An easy appetizer, just cut each roll in half for 12 servings! Serving Suggestions: The traditional way to serve lobster rolls is with potato chips and a pickle. They are great with a tossed green salad or coleslaw and a beer. Follow it with Whoopie Pies for a Downeast meal, and it's truly a classic.
Preparation Instructions: Separate the rolls. Spread butter or margarine on the non-crust sides of each roll. Grill each side until golden brown. Fill each roll with fresh Maine lobster salad.
Downeast is a term used in Maine to describe the coastal northeast portion of the state. Going "Downeast" derives from the days when clipper ships sailed the coast. A vessel heading East would be sailing downwind as the prevailing winds in Maine blow from the West.
Ingredients Maine lobster meat (claw and knuckle only), mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
Shelf Life: Store salad in the refrigerator for up to four days. This is a fresh product and cannot be frozen.

"My favorite food on this earth; is a lobster salad roll! For some reason; Blum's in Pasadena, California, when I was little, had Maine Lobster salad rolls. (circa 1954-1960)???
I became addicted by 7! My Mommy took me!
Then, Blum's closed! I went to Maine! and Nantucket! And the Vineyard! There they were again! Yowzers! I was so happy!
But, the Internet saved the day!
Too many mosquitoes.......back there.....Now we live in Santa Barbara..no mosquitoes!

They taste exactly like the ones we ate almost every day while we were in Maine. And those buns! Wish we could get them in the South!!As a born Southerner, I never knew the joy of lobster rolls until a few years ago, but now they are my favorite food and Hancock does a wonderful job with them!! "WE HEARD ABOUT YOUR DOWN EAST LOBSTER ROLLS IN GOOD MORNING AMERICA AND ORDERED THEM. THE FOOD CAME PERFECTLY PACKED AND CHILLED AND IT WAS OUTSTANDING. THE BREAD ROLLS YUMMY, THE LOBSTER SALAD HAD CHUNKS OF MEAT AND WE ONLY WISHED WE HAD 3 MORE LBS OF IT.

"WOW! The most succulent and sweet lobster with the "just right" amount of mayo on the perfect split top roll. Can't get much much better that that!!
Repeat performance for a surprise dinner for me and my husband and a bottle of "bubbly" of course!! Can't wait until the next celebration! The only thing to make it better would be to be on the coast of Maine.
